TORONTO – David Cameron was the centre of some Twitter mockery after he posted of himself chatting on the phone with President Barack Obama Wednesday about the crisis in Ukraine.
Shortly after posting the photo, both Star Trek actor Sir Patrick Stewart and his comedian friend Rob Delaney took at jab at the British Prime Minister’s “selfie.”
To no one’s surprise, others on Twitter felt they had to contribute:
- Week two of Quebec campaign dominated by debates on immigration, language
- Federal Tories launch ‘Conservatives for Canada’ campaign ahead of Alberta referendum
- Man charged with arson at Liberal MP’s Toronto home, 2nd suspect wanted
- N.S. Speaker scraps planned legislature bans just days before fall sitting begins
So on Friday, Cameron responded to the jabs by posting another photo of himself speaking with a president, this time face-to-face with former U.S. president Bill Clinton.
Unfortunately, Cameron’s response simply just made him the subject of more ridicule.
