TORONTO — Canadian hockey player Brooks Laich has scored himself a Hollywood star.
The 30-year-old Saskatchewan native was photographed Sunday strolling hand-in-hand with actress Julianne Hough.
The two were spotted by paparazzi hiking in the Hollywood Hills with Hough’s dogs.
Laich was wearing a grey T-shirt, dark shorts and red sneakers while Hough sported a white tank top with grey shorts and sneakers.

After their hike, Laich got behind the wheel of Hough’s Mercedes SUV and drove to a Bristol Farms supermarket, where he was seen dutifully carrying an eight-roll pack of Bounty paper towels.
Laich, who hails from Wawota — about 2.5 hours southeast of Regina — played for the Moose Jaw Warriors before being drafted by the Ottawa Senators. He currently plays for the Washington Capitals.
Hough, 25, split from American Idol host Ryan Seacrest last year after nearly three years together. A former Dancing With The Stars champion, she has appeared in movies like Safe Haven, Rock of Ages and the 2011 reboot of Footloose.
On Valentine’s Day, Laich tweeted: “Hope you are spending it with that special someone who makes you happy! #onelove.”
In 2008, Saskatchewan native Jarret Stoll, who played for the Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings, was engaged to model-actress Rachel Hunter. They split a year later.
