TORONTO — Human rights abuses in the country hosting the Sochi Olympics?

“This is actually news to my ears,” Carmen Electra said Friday night in Toronto.

The 41-year-old model, actress and performer was caught off guard when asked if Russia’s widely publicized and highly controversial anti-gay laws would affect her viewing of the Olympics.

“You know, to be honest, I haven’t even gone deep into that. It didn’t resonate with me because it’s not really anything, you know, that I’ve discussed with my friends or anything,” she told Maurie Sherman of the Roz & Mocha Show on KiSS 92.5.

“Um… but that is very interesting. I will think about that.”

Electra was in Toronto to co-host and perform at Motionball in support of the Special Olympics.
