WATCH: Raw video from inside the amazing ice caves on Lake Superior in Wisconsin

16×9 Exclusive: Ice Cave Explorers – Mapping the underworld
Welcome to the Apostle Island ice caves, a gift given to Wisconsin natives from the polar vortex.

The frigid temperatures have made it possible for visitors to cross about a kilometre out onto the frozen part of Lake Superior, giving them rare access to the caves — the first time in five years.
