Justin Timberlake tells Vancouver reporter to ‘kiss my ass’

VANCOUVER — Justin Timberlake had some choice words for a B.C. newspaper and entertainment reporter at his Vancouver concert Thursday night.

In an article in The Province headlined “Yo Justin, try putting some Timberrr! into Timberlake,” Dana Gee wrote:

“That said, we like JT, we really do. He seems perfectly nice, but that is also the problem. We wish him well and would love to see him really bring sexy back. The kind of sexy that makes you go “oh yeah” not “oh, he’d make a good prom king.”

It seems Timberlake took a dislike to the piece. During the concert he addressed it, pronounced Gee’s first name wrong, and then said: “Lady, you can kiss my ass.”

The crowd at Rogers Arena erupted into cheers. “They don’t make awards for this s*** right here, this is all I need right here,” said Timberlake.

“I’m so upset he said my name wrong,” she said. Timberlake pronounced her name like ‘Dayna’, not ‘Dana’ like ‘banana’.

She said she likes Timberlake and said her column is tongue-in-cheek.

That is not stopping Timberlake fans from reaching out to Gee on Twitter, however.

Gee is taking it all in stride.

“You know what, whatever,” she said on the Morning News. “Just laugh at yourself.”
