Two men were arrested at gunpoint  after RCMP say they fled a border crossing with several suspicious bags in their car.

The pair were arrested on Tuesday afternoon at the south end of the Oak Street Bridge.

Police say they were alerted to suspicious activity at the border and then spotted the car heading north on Highway 99 in Richmond.

They are not revealing what was in the bags at this time and say they are still conducting tests.
