UPDATE: Crews have located the two sisters. They are in the process of being taken off the mountain. A paramedic on the team is currently assessing their condition.
Kamloops Search and Rescue say two sisters, 17 and 21, and another skier are missing tonight after skiing out-of-bounds just northeast of Kamloops.
Crews from Kamloops are leading the search at the Sun Peaks Resort. There has been intermittent cell phone reception with the two sisters, but as of 11pm, they hadn’t had contact with them for several hours. However, search crews have found tracks which they believe are from the sisters.

There has been recent contact with the third skier, who has told search crews that she could hear them looking for her. She is from Washington State and in her forties, but is unrelated to the missing girls. She became separated from her partner after ducking the area boundary.
All three are believed to be in the north-east region of the mountain.
Crews are expected to search into the night and will resume the search in the morning if necessary.
