Man airlifted to U of A Hospital following crash near Morinville

EDMONTON – A man is in hospital in serious condition following a two-vehicle collision north of Edmonton Sunday.

STARS Air Ambulance was called to the collision on Highway 2, just north of Morinville, around 11:30 a.m.

Three people were injured in the collision, according to STARS. Two of the injured were taken to hospital by ground ambulance. An older man was airlifted to the University of Alberta Hospital, a STARS spokesperson said.

RCMP have not released any information about the collision. However, officers said they were dealing with several collisions in the area Sunday morning.

RCMP say road conditions on Highway 2 were in very poor condition Sunday morning.
