The Einarson rink lost 9-4 to fellow Manitoba team Kate Cameron in a 3 vs. 4 page playoff qualifier which ends their bid for what would have been a record fifth straight national title.

Einarson led Friday night’s game 4-2 after five ends, but proceeded to fall apart as Cameron would score in five straight ends, including picking up four straight steals, to secure the win.

Cameron advances to the 3 vs. 4 page playoff game where they take on Alberta’s Selena Sturmay, who eliminated Manitoba’s Kaitlyn Lawes 8-5 in the other Page Playoff qualifier.

Meanwhile, the Jennifer Jones rink is one win away from the Scotties final after defeating Sturmay 8-4 Friday afternoon in the 1 vs. 2 page playoff qualifier.

Jones will take on Ontario’s Rachel Homan, who advanced to 9-0 for the week with an 8-4 win over Einarson Friday afternoon.

The winner of Homan vs. Jones will advance to Sunday’s final, while the loser will take on the winner of Cameron vs. Sturmay for a second chance at clinching a berth in the championship game.
