City Opera Vancouver takes on high society and the Opera all in good fun in their interactive performance at a Marx Brothers movie, the riotously funny A Night at the Opera. City Opera will perform opera repertoire parodied in the film, with some antics thrown in, to set the stage for the full screening of the film, one of MGM’s biggest hits at the 1935 box office, and which is preserved in the Library of Congress for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significance”. And really funny.
