First Annual Wood N’ Reels Fishing Derby

Welcome to the First Annual Fishing Derby at Wood Lake RV Park and Marina, Wood N’ Reels! We invite you for the whole weekend of April 26-28, 2019, and hope you enjoy fishing on one of the most desired lakes for Rainbow Trout and Kokanee in BC, which is Wood Lake. This Derby is a catch and release derby. Registration for this event begins on ****JANUARY 7TH, 2019**** Registration for the Derby can be done by emailing events@woodlakerv.com, or contacting our office at 250-766-1881 between our business hours of 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. You can also inquire about this event by sending us a message on Facebook! The registration fee is $100 for the whole weekend at Wood Lake RV Park and Marina if you decide to camp with us, which includes a full-service site, firewood, ice, and usage of a boat slip at our marina. The other option we have is a $45 registration fee for candidates who are only wanting to participate in the Derby. The Fishing Derby will commence early on April 27th, at sunrise, so it is mandatory for registration to be done before the 27th of April to ensure that you will have a spot in the derby, a slip available for your usage, and so you can get out on Wood Lake at an adequate time. You will have all day to fish, and the closing time for the Derby is going to be 5:00 PM. We will have AMAZING prizes for the longest fish caught (1st, 2nd, and 3rd.) We will also have smaller prizes for the person with the fish closest to 12 inches, and the smallest fish caught. All ages are welcome, as long as everyone has their fishing licenses and are able to present the licenses upon registration.
