The Mountain View Connection is thrilled to Canadian soprano Katherine Whyte. She has performed on opera and concert stages across her native Canada, the United States and Europe, and now returns to Calgary and sings on the series as a former alumni and will be joined by one of Calgary’s favourite cellists, Olena Kilchyk as well as pianists Kathleen van Mourik and Charles Foreman. The programme will feature chamber music by Leonard Bernstein, Andre Previn, and Scriabin with songs for voice and piano by Rachmaninoff, Alban Berg, Gershwin, Johnny Mercer, and other American songs as well as a selection of piano rags performed by Charles Foreman. Tickets are $40 (general) / $30 (students/seniors) / FREE (children 12 and under) and are available online through http://www.brownpapertickets.com or at the door.
