Come see the three recent winners of the Netherland’s prestigious Princess Christina Competition for one day only during their North American tour.
This year’s winners are: Carter Muller (piano), Daniël Tibben (flute), and Vera Werkman (violin) and they will be performing music by Chopin, Nino Rota, Robert Schumann, Bach and Beethoven. Admission is by donation and the concert will be followed by a reception.
For over 40 years, the Princess Christina Competition in the Netherlands has provided important opportunities for young Dutch music students in their late teens and early twenties, both performers and composers. All three artists are on tour in the USA currently and this will be their first appearance in Canada. This concert is co-sponsored by Irene Bakker, Honorary Consul of the Netherlands in Calgary and the Mountain View Connection Concert Society.
