Hot Club Edmonton combines unique prairie flavours, sweet rhythms and sultry vocals. The band’s music, reminiscent of the 1930s Paris jazz scene, is inspired by gypsy-jazz legends Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. In 2010, Hot Club Edmonton’s debut album won a Western Canadian Music Award. The band, which has showcased at the Edmonton International Jazz Festival and recorded for CBC’s Canada Live, features Clinton Pelletier, Thea Pelletier, and Daniel Gervais — the only Albertan ever to win the Canadian Grand Master Fiddle Competition.
