The Gala, hosted by the Prairie Vocal Arts Collective, will feature performances by some of Saskatchewan’s most outstanding vocal performers The event will spotlight different music audiences can expect throughout our upcoming season, including opera, musical theatre, cabaret, and art song by Saskatchewan composers.
Gala performers include:
Tina Alexander-Luna – Dr. Tina Alexander-Luna – Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice Performance (University of Toronto), Master of Music (University of Ottawa), Bachelor of Music (University of Lethbridge). She is currently Assistant Professor of Voice – University of Regina.
Joshua Hendricksen – Bachelor of Music, Voice and Opera (University of Regina). Singer, collaborative pianist, accompanist.
Andrea McCulloch – Master of Music (University of Maryland Opera Studio), Bachelor of Music (University of Regina), member of Tom Schilling’s Vocal Way Studio.
Emily Ready – Master of Music (New York University), Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Voice Performance (University of Manitoba), Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance (University of Regina).
Robert Ursan – Master of Music in Opera (University of Toronto), post-graduate degree in Opera (The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama), Bachelor of Music (Oberlin College). Singer, pianist, prolific Canadian composer, skilled theatrical director.
Alyssa Woolhether – Alyssa holds a Master of Music in Performance and Literature from Western University (2019) and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Regina (2010).
Rachel Andrist (piano) – Following her studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music and the St. Louis Conservatory, she joined the music staff of Théâtre Royale de la Monnaie in Brussels as Chef de chant. Rachel has been on the music staff of the Théâtre Royale de la Monnaie in Brussels as Chef de chant, Salzburg Festival, Bavarian State Opera in Munich, Salzburg Easter Festival, Glyndebourne Festival, Netherlands Opera, English National Opera, and Scottish Opera, is a frequent guest at the University of Toronto’s Opera School, l’Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal and the Oslo National Opera in Norway.
