VCT Presents Silent Movie Mondays – Kings of Comedy – December 9, 2024 at the Orpheum

Escape to the roaring 1920s at Silent Movie Mondays, a popular film series presented by Vancouver Civic Theatres! Bring the whole family to the historic Orpheum theatre December 9, 2024 at 7:30pm to enjoy four short films featuring kings of comedy Buster Keaton, Charley Chase, and Harry Langdon while a soundtrack is played live on the theatre’s rare Wurlitzer organ – an instrument originally created to accompany silent films and the last in Canada still in its original home. An evening at Silent Movie Mondays also includes a live Jazz Band performance one hour before the show, popcorn & drink specials, and a fun post-show talk from Vancouver Film School’s Keith Blackmore.
