How a Montreal housing program is helping Indigenous women rebuild
A first-of-its-kind native women’s shelter in Montreal’s Little Burgundy neighborhood is $1 million richer thanks to a grant from TD Bank. The money will help fund the Miyoskamin second-stage housing program. As Global’s Elizabethe Zogalis reports, the residence opened its doors last fall to Indigenous women and their children.
