Amid the violent conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the disputed region, the separatist government of Nagorno-Karabakh has announced it will dissolve itself and that the republic will “cease to exist.” But as Crystal Goomansingh reports, Armenian officials say more than half the region’s population of 120,000 people has already fled, leaving a growing humanitarian crisis.
