China has accused Taiwan of “undermining peace and security” in the Taiwan Strait after it unveiled its first-ever domestically developed military submarine on Thursday. Dubbed “the Narwhal,” Taiwan said the submersible was necessary to deter war and to strengthen its defence capabilities against China.
