U.S. government shutdown looms with October deadline

The clock is ticking and millions of federal workers in America are keeping a close eye on Capitol Hill, where a group of Republicans is holding up a spending bill. U.S. President Joe Biden says he and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy had already agreed on a spending plan, which included a trillion dollars in spending cuts over the next decade.
