Doug Ford defends Mayor Chow on Toronto’s finance sustainability, calls on feds to ‘step up’

During a joint press conference with Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow on Monday, where a deal was announced to help stabilize and sustain Toronto’s finances, Ontario Premier Doug Ford defended the newly-elected mayor, telling a reporter — who questioned the deal and Toronto’s financial situation — that the job is “not just a walk in the park” and that they need the federal government to “step up” in order to make a difference.
