Taiwan began clean-up operations on Monday after Typhoon Haikui left a trail of destruction across the island after earlier tearing through the Philippines. From mountainous areas in central Taiwan to cities on the eastern and southern coasts, residents and workers removed fallen trees, fixed broken power lines and cleared debris a day after the typhoon slammed into the island.
