Despite blaming Western sanctions for making it difficult to export grains from Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin suggests the Black Sea grain deal — which Russia exited in July — could be revived, so long as certain conditions are met. The initiative, which was brokered by the United Nations (UN) with Turkey, Russia, and Ukraine in July 2022, allowed Ukraine to safely export life-saving grain supplies through the Black Sea amid the ongoing war between the latter two nations.
