On Thursday, a federal judge handed down a 17-year prison sentence to former Proud Boys leader Joseph Biggs for his role in storming the U.S. capitol. The sentence came after a jury convicted Biggs of seditious conspiracy, stemming from the attempt to overturn former president Donald Trump’s 2020 election defeat on Jan. 6.
