Ron DeSantis, along with other emergency officials, provided an update Wednesday on Hurricane Idalia, saying the eye of the storm has passed Florida but that some outer bands were still affecting northern parts of the state. DeSantis also noted that there have been no confirmed casualties as a result of the weather event as of this time.
