The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) reported on Tuesday that since Russia’s invasion in Feb. 2022, it has destroyed over 1,300 schools and caused severe damage to other institutions in government-held areas of Ukraine. UNICEF said schools face frequent attacks in the ongoing war, resulting in only one-third of children to attend in-person classes.
