City of Regina Forestry, Pests and Horticulture co-ordinator Veronica Shroeder explained declining health and safety concerns lead to the city’s decision to remove a 123-year-old tree on Thursday. Based on rings on the limbs of the tree, Schroeder said it was likely planted around 1905.
