Poilievre suggests withholding federal funds for cities that don’t meet new housing targets

Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre spoke on Tuesday about his plan to tackle housing affordability in Canada, saying that he would require big cities to permit 16 per cent more housing construction per year or lose their federal infrastructure grants. He also spoke about his plans to build high-density housing near federally-funded transit stations and sell off federal buildings.
