Roger Thibault has died at the age of 77 after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. He married his longtime partner Theo Wouters at the Montreal courthouse in 2002 — marking the first same-sex marriage in North America. His husband and partner of 50 years made the announcement on the heels of the city’s Pride parade.
