City meets with Chinatown merchants and residents, announcing the closure of a homeless shelter but leaving issues unresolved

Following an information meeting in Montreal’s Chinatown, some residents and merchants say they’re still feeling abandoned. City officials called the meeting after a rise in violence and drug-taking that has left people feeling unsafe. As Phil Carpenter reports, one measure announced was heartening to some, but many questions remain unanswered.
