The Lamprecht family of Evansburg, Alta., have been living a nightmare ever since three of their four children were diagnosed with a rare, terminal genetic disorder – Batten Disease – in 2020. Now they are finally able to dream of a future for their kids, thanks to a new use for an older drug. Su-Ling Goh reports.
