Speaking to Global News Washington Bureau chief Jackson Proskow in an interview, police officer Daniel Hodges – who was famously seen crushed by a mob on Jan. 6, 2021 as he pushed back rioters at the U.S. Capitol – said that he was “glad” to see that the indictment of former president Donald Trump over his efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss “finally happened.” Hodges added that “it’s just one step in the process though. It’s been a long-time coming, but in so many ways, it just marks the beginning.”
