Running from Aug. 2 through Oct. 9, the City of Toronto will be running an “Alcohol in Parks” pilot project in 27 city parks. “Toronto is the first city in Ontario to introduce a pilot program of this kind. We know all eyes are upon us across Ontario and especially across the GTA. But we’re taking the lead from other cities across Canada – cities like Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton,” says city councillor Shelly Carroll who is spearheading the project.
