Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak First Nation leaders call upon province to protect residential school graves

Sioux Valley Dakota Nation Chief Jennifer Bone said on Tuesday that “Manitoba’s inaction not only results in the mistreatment of human remains and perpetuation of colonial violence, but it also pits land owners against those who seek to protect the cemeteries.”
