Mustafa Hassan spoke out for the first time Tuesday, decades after witnessing the assassination of civil rights leader Malcolm X. He says he heard police asking, “Is he with us?” after coming upon one of the perpetrators outside the Audubon Ballroom on Feb. 21, 1965. Hassan suggested that officers believed the man was a police informant.
