Environment Minister announces fossil fuel elimination framework, interrupted by protestor

Though he was briefly interrupted by a protestor, Minister of Environment and Climate Change Steven Guilbeault announced Monday two new guidelines developed to eliminate inefficient fossil fuel subsidies, while redoubling focus on clean energy and supporting “the creation of secure middle-class jobs from coast to coast.” A movement Guilbeault says is key in building Canada’s net-zero economy by 2050.
