With Okanagan now under heat warning, people are being advised to be mindful of heat-related illnesses

A heat warning is in effect for the Okanagan–the warning was issued for the region on Thursday by the province. The new warning system was developed after the deadly heat dome of 2021 which claimed some 600 lives in this province. It’s meant to remind people to take precautions and check in on those who may be especially vulnerable to heat-related illnesses. Klaudia van Emmerik reports.
