Annual program aims to provide 2,000 backpacks to Northumberland County children in need

While summer is not quite over, Northumberland United Way is already gearing up for the upcoming school year.
They have partnered with the Cobourg Police Service, Port Hope Police Service and Northumberland OPP to gather school supplies and raise money for families who need a little extra support.
