Canada’s National Police Federation (NPF) held a news conference Tuesday discussing its new report on recommendations for governments to collectively address Canada’s Criminal Justice System on bail reform. “We hear [member] frustrations about accused persons released on bail and continue to commit repeat violent crimes while awaiting trial. Canadians as well are concerned about our justice system is not keeping our communities safe,” said Brian Sauvé, president and CEO of the NPF.
