In a $3-billion deal, Israel is set to purchase its third squadron of F-35 stealth fighters. The 25 additional aircraft, produced by Lockheed Martin, will bring the Israel air force’s F-35 fleet up to 75. The jets will be financed through a U.S. defence aid package, the Ministry of Defence confirmed on Sunday.
