The Residential School Documents Advisory Committee held its first meeting on Wednesday, and Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations Marc Miller revealed that it has four and a half years left to complete its report on the abuse of Indigenous children in residential schools across Canada. On the length of time it will take, he said it was not about “freezing a moment in time,” but “disentangling over 100 years of information” and having the time to do so.
