Led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, Russia’s private Wagner mercenary group halted its insurrection on the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don Saturday evening, just one day after the coup of the military HQ began. The international community, for now, however, is treading carefully in its response to the brazen challenge of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Despite their importance to the Canadian Embassy, an expected delivery of dozens of armoured vehicles was delayed simply after a subcontractor in Jordan refused to release them. And, Pride Month celebrations continue across Canada. Massive crowds thronged the streets of Toronto, particularly, on Sunday to take part in Canada’s largest Pride parade.
