School district in N.B. adopts own gender identity policy

The Anglophone East District Education Council has decided to create its own gender identity policy after the Higgs government approved changes to its Policy 713. As Suzanne Lapointe reports, the council says it is taking advantage of a rule within the policy itself that allows DEC’s to develop more comprehensive policies and procedures than the province.
