Manitoba RCMP commanding officer Rob Hill and major crimes unit head Rob Lasson offered more details regarding the mass casualty collision that occurred just before noon on Thursday. The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 5 between a semi-trailer travelling eastbound and a transit vehicle travelling south from Dauphin transporting 25 people, many of whom were seniors. RCMP said that at least 15 people are confirmed to be deceased and 10 others were taken to hospital with various injuries.
