Alberta wildfires: Rainfall expected to aid firefighters as low-pressure system approaches 

According to Melissa Story with Alberta Wildfire, over 600 wildfires have ravaged more than 1.3 million hectares in the forest protection area, with 24 of the current 76 active fires remaining out of control. Firefighters from multiple countries are actively working on containment lines to combat the Pembina complex fire near Edson, while a low-pressure system with rain and improved conditions is expected to aid their efforts this week.
