The vice president of the Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association says the dry conditions in southern Alberta this spring are already resulting in crop losses. Moisture levels are depleted, and many areas are facing once in 50-year lows for this time of year. As Carolyn Kury de Castillo reports, if rain doesn’t come soon a county south of Calgary will be looking at declaring a drought emergency.
