After addressing the resignation of foreign interference special rapporteur David Johnston during a press conference on Saturday, Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc answered a question about a public inquiry on the matter, saying the idea has “never been off the table,” despite what some Canadians and opposition leaders have thought based on Johnston’s previous recommendations to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
