Trudeau makes unannounced Kyiv visit, set to meet with Zelenskyy amid Russia-Ukraine war

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a surprise visit to Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, on Saturday, to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to show Canada’s support amid the Russia-Ukraine War. The appearance comes a mere few days after the collapse of the Kakhovka dam in Kherson, which resulted in mass flooding and evacuations in the region, putting further pressure on Ukrainians.
