Anyone can volunteer to support The Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival and its host team, Survivors Abreast. But there’s only one way to be a paddler on that team… survive the fight of your life… against breast cancer.
Funds from Saturday’s big event on Little Lake do exactly that: help patients detect, fight and survive breast cancer.
Amy Semple has had the courage and openness to share her story. As a 9-year survivor…she is connected in many ways to the diagnostic and treatment efforts at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre’s Breast Assessment Centre.
