Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston provided an update on the firefighting efforts in the province as it continues to deal with an unprecedented wildfire situation on Friday, saying that a “stunning” number of homes had been lost. “If the news is the worst-case scenario, I’m so sorry,” he said to those Nova Scotians who are beginning to learn about the status of their homes.
